I think I’ve been in denial about the next 30 days all year… We’ve photographed dozens of senior sessions – even a few with Conner before now. But, hearing that these seniors only have 16 school days left really made it hit a little harder. If you don’t know already, this is my (erin here) youngest child. My last kid at home. Last high school graduation. All the school age lasts… I am able to be comforted that he plans to stay at home while attending college next year, though!
I really am so excited to share this session. Theater is where Conner really comes alive. He’s been our quiet introvert who needs time alone to recharge since he was a toddler. So, when he chose to audition for the school play his Freshman year, we were all surprised. But, when you see him step into each character he’s portrayed on the stage, you truly see him in his element. This room, where he’s performed so many times, is where he’s found his passion and honed this craft he intends to pursue long after high school. So, naturally, this was the one location I knew we needed to use for Conner’s senior session. I came in with no expectations, no inspiration photos, just told Kim to be her creative self and capture Conner in this space that means so much to him. Obviously, she did not disappoint. I love these images. They capture Conner’s personality and his passions perfectly.
Conner, your dad and I are so proud of you. You are talented in so many ways, and seeing you choose to honor God with the creative gifts He’s given you is such a blessing to us. We love you and can’t wait to see you chase your dreams.
